Shipping policy
UK Delivery
Deliveries within the UK are free of charge, subject to courier restrictions.
Delivery to the Channel Islands, the Republic of Ireland and Europe will incur additional delivery charges (see International Shipping).
Where possible, items will be packed together to reduce deliveries. Where this is not possible, for example, when ordering two of our large Nest Beds, items will be shipped separately.
We aim to dispatch all goods within 1-2 working days, but this may increase to 3-4 working days during busy periods such as Christmas. Deliveries are shipped via APC and DPD, and you will receive email notifications about your delivery directly from the courier. If you are in urgent need of your delivery, please contact us directly, and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
Returns

Items may be exchanged or refunded within 28 days of your order being received, providing they are in their original condition and unused. Return post is the responsibility of the customer. We recommend tracked shipping for your protection. Once your return has been received and processed, the refund will be applied to your original payment method. We reserve the right to charge a restocking fee where applicable. Please see the Returns Policy and paragraphs 9.1 and 11 in our Terms and Conditions for more information.
To return your item: Secure the item and packing materials in the original delivery box. Clearly display your name and return address on the package and send to:

Remote Area Shipping Fees
On receiving your order, we will arrange shipping through our courier service. Should the courier specify a surcharge for your postcode, we will contact you to advise of the additional cost and confirm you are happy for the order to be processed. You do, of course, have the right to refuse and receive a full refund should you be unhappy with the surcharge amount.
International Shipping
We’re pleased to offer VAT-free shopping for international customers receiving their delivery abroad on all Taylor & Tails products.
Please note that when you place your order, you become the importer of goods from the UK and are liable for any relevant customs duties or local sales taxes that may apply in your country. We recommend checking your local levies prior to placing your order.
VAT-Free Overseas Delivery
The prices you see on our website are in GBP and includes UK sales tax of 20%. To enjoy VAT-free shopping as an international customer, please contact us to place your order. This will allow us to process your purchase with the VAT reduction.
International Shipping Fees
If you are ordering for delivery outside the UK, delivery options and related charges will be presented to you as part of the order process where available. If there are no options found for delivery of your order (for example because the items are particularly large or because our standard couriers do not deliver to the country specified), shipping charges will not be applied at checkout. Instead, on receipt of your order, we will contact you with a confirmed shipping quote and VAT-free order total and send an electronic invoice for the shipping charges. We will wait for your confirmation as to whether you wish to proceed and for full payment of the shipping charges before dispatching your order.
Oversized Deliveries
Due to the large dimensions of our dog beds, they may incur a high international shipping charge. This is one of the reasons we ask you to contact us directly with the details of the items you wish to purchase, so we can provide you with a postage quote prior to shipping.
Additional Shipping Information
Which courier will deliver my order?
Within the UK, we predominantly use APC and DPD as our couriers of choice, as we have found them to offer a reliable service at a fair cost.
Internationally, we use a range of couriers, including DHL, FedEx, UPS and TNT. Our parcels are all sent ‘signed for’ and thus require a signature on receipt of delivery.
How long will my parcel take to arrive?
Parcels will usually be dispatched by Taylor & Tails within 1-2 business days, at which point the courier company processes them. The estimated transit times listed below are to provide a rough guide only and do not take into account delays due to weather, holidays or other events outside our control.
Delivery to UK mainland 1 - 2 business days
Scotland and Northern Ireland 2 - 3 business days
International delivery advised on receipt of order
If you need your delivery urgently, please contact us directly, and we’ll do our best to accommodate you (express postal charges may apply).
Can I track my parcel?
When your order has been dispatched, we will send a confirmation email to provide you with the shipping information, consignment number and a link to the relevant courier’s website. For UK deliveries with APC and DPD, you will also receive communication directly from the courier giving you an estimated delivery date and time window.
While it’s rare for our parcels not to arrive on time, should you have any concerns about a delay to your delivery, please contact us at support@taylorandtails.com. We will do everything possible to ensure your parcel is located and gets to its new home.
Can you deliver to a PO box?
Due to the size of many items in our store, we do not deliver to PO Box addresses. Should you provide a PO Box address at checkout, we will contact you for an alternative delivery address. If no alternative is provided within 14 days of our attempt at contact, your order will be cancelled and refunded.
Import Duties and Regulations
While international deliveries receive the benefit of an exception from VAT, additional costs may be incurred in the destination country. Import duties and taxes are charged in many countries, including Australia and the United States of America, as well as European countries since the implementation of Brexit. If you are ordering from outside the United Kingdom, we suggest you contact your local customs authority before purchasing.
Taylor & Tails are not responsible for these charges, and we cannot provide any information or estimates of what they may be. As the importer of goods, you are liable to ensure your purchase complies with the laws of your country and for any charges related to importation. United Kingdom consumer protection laws may not apply.
Please note that local customs may inspect parcels on arrival, and as such, your package may show signs of tampering.

Our Right of Refusal
As per our Terms and Conditions, we reserve the right to refuse any order and issue a refund in full. Should this be the case, we will notify you by email.
